02The problem
When no one can say which version is current, everything downstream is at risk.
Distributed teams needed one trusted place to publish, version, preview, and formally acknowledge receipt of controlled operational documents. Without it, stale versions circulated, no one could confirm the right people held the current document, and there was no shared history to fall back on.

I defined the visual language alongside design: a dark surface stack, one orange accent, and three load-bearing document-type colors used consistently everywhere.
